Rachelle Matherne enjoys pink duct tape, fabric with cutesy prints, sharp scissors, burying things in odiferous resin,
and drilling things with her Dremel.

The name greenKangaroo comes from the Judy Blume novel,
The One in the Middle is the Green Kangaroo.
It's in honor of Rachelle's 8-year-old sister,
who is her favorite crafting buddy.

greenKangaroo started in the summer of 2003,
sharing a small table with a friend
at the Mermaid Lounge flea market.
It has been steadily growing ever since.

Rachelle also runs the New Orleans Craft Mafia.
